A couple of weeks ago I launched a new series on the #365FirstsChallenge Facebook Page called the First Time Storytelling Broadcast.
The way the First Time Storytelling broadcast works is guests come to spend some time with me to share a first time/new experience story, of their choosing, no matter how far back it goes – and we discuss how it impacted and helped to shape them. It’s an interview-style storytelling format.
Next, we play the First Time Lighting Round, I also ask the question in that day’s prompt, and we close out with them answering how they are making the best of the situations with the COVD-19 pandemic.
When Zoom and Facebook cooperate, I go live M-F at 9am PST, if I run into technical difficulty, the episode is recorded and then premiered an hour later on the page.
The recordings are also added to the #365Firsts Challenge YouTube Channel. Below you can see four of the many First Time Storytelling Broadcasts.
The stories vary immensely but they are all fun to hear. I’ve been having a blast with my guests and EVERYONE is invited to be a guest. If you want to come on the First Time Storytelling Broadcast and spend some time with me just contact me!
In this episode of First Time Storytelling I was joined by my friend and fellow Marine Corps Officer, Monica, in her onesie, no less and she shared the story of her first concert, which didn’t go as planned. Then we got to talking quite a bit about food… We played the First Time Lighting Round and Monica made a polo shirt origami for us. We had a blast. Enjoy!!
In this episode of First Time Storytelling I was joined by my friend and retired Marine Don McCutchen who shared the story of his first time bungee jumping and how it left a lifelong impact on how he has lived his life. Then we played the First Time Lighting Round and also learned about the tricks he played on his choir teacher. We had a blast. Enjoy!!
In this episode of First Time Story I was joined Hannah who is currently doing a new thing everyday. After dealing with health issues and limited ability to live last year, she decided 2020 was going to be filled with living and experiences. Find out how doing something new everyday has been going for her so far. Then we played the First Time Lighting Round and I help Hannah add some more first times to her list. We had a blast. Enjoy!!
In this episode of First Time Storytelling Broadcast I was joined by Robert Washington, a husband and father of five boys, US Navy Veteran, retired pro athlete, award winning public speaker, entrepreneur/business owner, author, and inventor. He shared the story of his final MMA fight where he found himself having his first near near death moment which led him to a long journey of self-discovery and making changes in his life. Next, we played the First Time Lightning Round and found out Robert came very close to winning a brand new car…along with other great stories. It was an inspirational pleasure to have Robert on and I hope you enjoy this episode!!
